About Kaylee Peterson
My family has been farming and taking care of the land for six generations, I still live on that land, on a street named after my great grandfather. I got started in community organizing by advocating for Idaho’s youth in the foster care and school systems. Now, my husband Trevor and I are celebrating 15 years together and raising two amazing children in Eagle.

I first decided to take on this race in 2022, and traveling the First District, I listened to what Idahoans from across the political spectrum want from the government. Enough of political theater and party politics distracting from the real issues, Idahoans want common sense, integrity and real solutions. I am dedicated to this race, for the long term, so that hard working Idahoans have a real voice, true representation that prioritizes them over out of state special interests and corporate lobbyists.

Restoring trust is my top priority as a candidate, ensuring that those who betray public trust are held to account. Government, when effective, benefits millions nationwide, transcending race, gender, education, and location. Recognizing the crucial role public institutions play in our lives, I understand that no individual can achieve this alone. That’s why I’ll work tirelessly to forge connections with every voter, rejecting partisan politics in favor of collaboration. Together we possess a shared stake in improving and streamlining government, even if it means facing uncomfortable truths.
